Unsolicited Advice for Britney Spears

I have some unsolicited advice for Britney.

I recommend that Britney pull a Demi Moore and get out of LA. Way back when, Demi left the limelight, lived in Idaho and raised her daughters. She then came back, hotter than ever, and commanded LA with full gusto. If Britney does this, gets out of the spotlight, gets rid of some of the paparazzi (as much as you can), gets rid of the influences, etc. - she may have a chance at resuming normalcy. She also will prove that she can stabilize herself and perhaps get her boys back, which she says is her goal.

So Brit - flee LA. Hurry, and get out. Do not look back. And if you can't get far, then get out to a remote town in CA. Just take Lynn with you and that's it. Definitely leave most of that wardrobe, btw, behind too.

While I'm sure Britney getting plenty of it, I'm not sure she's listening to anyone. What makes me think she'd take this advice? I don't. But I felt compelled to share.

BTW, I do understand that Demi didn't have the uphill battles that Britster has. But we need to try to help her, right?

Super Fat Tuesday

What a day Tuesday was- It's Thursday night and I'm still thinking about it.

We had the Super Bowl news wrapping up (mmmm... Tom Brady). We had Fat Tuesday. And last but not least, we had Super Tuesday - the politics of all politics. The debates leading up were some of the most watched debates in history.

With the current state of our nation, I don't doubt it. It's top-of-mind for everyone - from healthcare, to our security to the economy.... and not necessarily in that order.
So, I just want to say - KEEP WATCHING, keep following, and get out there and vote. We all have a voice.

Stripper Heads to Tinsletown

A now well-known stripper, born in Chicago and sent large amounts of time in Minneapolis, is now a famed author and screen writer. She was encouraged to pen a book on her life as a stripper and then write a movie, now out in theaters, "Juno."

So, why is this so interesting? Because she is. I'm not into the whole strip club thing I would imagine. I guess you can't knock it until you try it but it's not my deal. At any rate, watch one interview on Diablo Cody and you're mesmerized. You really can't miss her either - from CNN to Wired to David Letterman. Who isn't talking about her? As long as you follow either mainstream media to blogs, you'll find Diablo Cody (not her given name, which was Brooke).

Her blog, The Pussy Ranch, can be found at http://diablocody.blogspot.com.

What's it take to get a lil love?

I've had my blog for three days and I think I've had six views and zero comments. So I ask you fellow bloggers, what does it take to get a lil love?

Why don't I get a shout out or a welcome for joining the infamous blogosphere? What does it take? Sure, a compelling entry, topic, etc., might help but that's all in due time. I'll give you that, along with my other tales of woe you didn't even ask for.

So any advice you have is appreciated. Thanks bloggers!

Welcome and Wow

I can't believe I've finally sat down to get this started. Welcome to Rambling Mod Blog. It's a spot for all to post our thoughts and musings while passing along advice, and even judgement if necessary. Kidding, well sort of. We'll be as constructive as possible.

Here's my deal - from ModBlogger- I'm a city girl who has a lot to say and I hope to use this as my vehicle. I've think I have weird things that happen to me, so I'll share them with you and you can tell me if that's actually nothing to sneeze at. Anyway, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. Cheers!

Holiday Guests for Brunch?

Hey Mod Girls! Do you have guests staying over? Headed over to someone's house for brunch with nothing to bring? Try this easy-as-pie recipe and you'll be a hit.
And don't thank me... thank Bon Appetit!

Ingredients:
4 eggs
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, squeezed dry
1 16-ounce container cottage cheese
1 bunch green onions, chopped (SKIP - MOD girls don't need onions!)
1 cup packed grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or 1 tablespoon dillweed (I SKIPPED this too - just add whatever spices you have, like Italian spices)

Prep:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Butter 8x8x2-inch glass baking dish.
3. Beat eggs, salt and pepper to blend in large bowl.
4. Mix in spinach. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well blended.
5. Transfer mixture to prepared dish.
6. Bake casserole until center is firm and top is golden, about 45 minutes.
Note: My "skips" are just to make life easier but do as your tummy desires. Also, I used non-fat cottage cheese and no one at this party noticed.
